Start a group for your surname
So you've decided to join my little friendly social network? Welcome aboard!
If you are interested in starting a group for discussing a surname you are researching, this is an easy process that you can do.
First, visit the "Groups" tab just above. Over towards the right above the images of all the groups is the option "+ Add A Group".
Fill out the required information (an image is nice, but isn't required - I can edit that later). A website address isn't required either. Location refers to more than places. This spot is also for keywords like the surname & variant spellings. It will help search engines find the group easily. Leave the boxes checked on the right for comments, discussion forum, text box. RSS can also be checked - this is for optionally adding RSS feed from surname groups on sites like Ancestry.
You're set to go! Now invite members you'd like to have in the group. Enjoy!
