Hi Suzette, You and I were in contact about 10 years ago, before we knew the connection between the WI Schmudlachs. I too have connected with Armin. His information confirmed what I had found on my own. It was neat to see how the family grew over there. I am using his Germany/ Prussia info, but have found several majors mistakes in our line. He suggested that you and I discuss them.

Hello, My great great grandparents were Johann Emanuel Schmudlach and Joan Hanna Caroline Juntaff (Guntoff) or Anna Carolina Marie Jungtaff or Hana Carlina Johnef Juntoff I dont know what one it is for her. but their is a women in Wausa that im going to go see next week. I dont remember if she is a great or great great granddaughter to Amelia C Schmudlach. My Aunt has my uncles old pic that we dont know who they are and im going to see if she knows who they are. I know Marie-Jo and Lucienne very well. Lucienne is actually my grandma's little sister ! I know that Marie-Jo has been working on a family tree for years. Next time I go to France, I hope I'll have time to go to the Pyrenees and visit them and learn more about all this.

New database software

A quick note to let everyone know that I've updated the database software on www.estacaille.org. Haven't yet done the one on www.braniffs.ws as I wanted to test it first, see how things go as it is a new version. I enjoy the new version and how it handles pop-up windows. I'm also looking at changing how it interacts with the rest of the website software, integrating it more.

Translator

I've added a translator (from Google.com) to this website. You can see the flags at the top of the page. But it does have a problem - it only works if you are not signed into your profile. For whatever reason, if you are signed on, it will try and translate then flip back to English.

Also, it only appears on the main page. My understanding is that it should appear on every page - not happening at the moment.

GENi software changes

There's a bit of an uproar around GENi the past few days. GENi has changed some of the features that were previously free - stating increased privacy & security.

First (this isn't part of the uproar) - all individuals in trees under 13 years old. Parents have further power to control the privacy on these children. Estacaille.org on the move right now

Hello cousins & fellow researchers!

Just a quick note to let you know that www.estacaille.org is down at the moment and on the move to a new server. Hopefully the move won't take very long, but it won't be accessible for the time being. I'll post an update here when the move is all done and the site is back up.

Database uploaded to GENi

I did it! I uploaded my current Estacaille database to the www.GENi.com website. I'm trying to send invites to as many cousins as I can. Not everyone appears in my database -

Lainie - we'll have to connect our Judas trees before I can invite you to my GENi tree.
Shannon - my Schmudlach info doesn't include you. I only go as far as children of Clarence & Clara
Tom & Shannon - haven't included your lineage in my database
