Hello Cousins wherever you are !
I am the great grand-daughter of Jeanne-Victoire Chabanne ( known to us as Victorine). I was born and raised in the South West of France (Bordeaux area) and moved to the USA in 2000. What a surprise to find out that I wasn't the 1st one in my family to move overseas ! I find researching my roots fascinating, I wish I had more time to really get into it but Suzette's website is very interesting... I keep calling my grandma in France asking her to tell me more about her relatives... I can't believe that the family portrait of my great-grandma's familly is posted there (The Chabanne family portait is actually on top of this very webpage, 1st pic on the left, great grandma is the 4th person from the left, 2nd row standing up) , my aunt has the exact same photo framed on her wall in France ! Unbelievable ! what a small world after all... anyway... if any of you reading this are somehow related to me, drop me a line !!!! and if anyone needs help translating French documents, let me know.

The 2nd pic was taken at Christmas last year in France. Sitting in the center is my grandma, kneeling next to her is my little bro' Ludovic Gauthier. I am standing up holding his daughter, Louanne. Next to me, my cousins Guillaume and Renaud Baquiere ( he is the one who googled his name one day out of boredom and ended up on Suzette's website !). This is a picture of my grandma and all her grand children and , at the time her only great grand-daughter ( a 2nd one, Emy, came into this world a month later, still my brother's).
