At 4:28pm on August 3, 2009, melissa L cornell said…: my braniffs are from northern Ireland then moved to the states. some in PA and some went to Louisiana. My g.g. grandfather is thomas alton braniff and he had lived in M.O.V. jackson, wood, wirt and roane co. My great grandfather was samuel porter braniff sr he was married to anna laura king(from wirt co,wv) they had 16 children. All the children lived in the M.O.V. area and just a few lived in columbus,oh or charleston, wv. I have been recently doing genealogy on my family since my grandmother passed away. My grandfather samuel p braniff jr married betty rae mcpherson (sandyville,WV) they have both passed.
